Three senior Ukrainian officials have also said they are returning awards bestowed by Poland, to show solidarity with their president. Emergency services are at the scene of a collision involving two trains in the Bedford area, British Transport Police has confirmed. Operator East Midlands Railway has said two of its trains were involved in the crash. Footage taken from the scene shows where the two trains collided and passengers who appear to have been evacuated. The boss of Cadbury chocolate-maker Mondelez has defended its decision to continue doing business in Russia but admitted he is not pleased the firm's taxes are funding the war with Ukraine. Chief executive Dirk Van de Put said it was the right decision to stay after Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022, saying pulling out would risk thousands of jobs and leave Mondelez vulnerable to the Kremlin taking control of its local operations. Many Western companies such as McDonald's exited Russia after it launched a full-scale assault on its neighbour. Others remained but Mondelez said it had discontinued new investment in its Russian business and suspended spending on advertising. Three people were killed overnight in a large-scale Ukrainian drone attack on the Moscow region, Russian officials have said. A woman died in a house in Khimki, north of the capital, where a person was trapped under rubble, regional governor Andrei Vorobiev said. A man and a woman were killed in the village of Pogorelki. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said 12 people were injured in strikes on a city oil refinery. Russia's military said 556 drones were intercepted.

Regional governor Fedorov said Russian forces launched 629 strikes across 45 settlements in the region in a single day, with at least 50 reports of damage to homes and infrastructure. Russian officials reported Ukrainian drone attacks in the Belgorod border region, where at least one person was killed and four women injured, alongside damage to buildings and vehicles. The attacks come as diplomatic efforts to end the war remain stalled. Donald Trump said on Sunday that he has had "good conversations" with Presidents Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelenskyy. "We're working on the Russia situation, Russia and Ukraine, and hopefully we're going to get it," Trump said on Fox News.
